We have gymnastics programmes for children starting from 3 years old, which is the critical period in which children develop their coordination and agility. Our programmes are specially designed to suit our students’ age and ability. All our classes are conducted in our fully equipped gymnasiums located  at SAFRA Jurong, HomeTeamNS-JOM Balestier and SAFRA Punggol.

We also have a new adult gymnastics programme at our SAFRA Jurong & HomeTeamNS-JOM branch.

We welcome new students!

We offer a trial lesson for new students at a $55 fee for all programmes*.

Come for a trial first before deciding to sign up with our programmes.

Mini Bear (3-4 years)

The objective of the program is to develop fundamental motor skills—which are critical for children at this age group—through fun-filled gymnastics classes.

Activities include the use of trampoline, balance beam, bars, and other special equipment which promote co-ordination, balance, flexibility and strength.

Parents or guardians participate along with their children in this class, giving the child the opportunity to grow comfortably in a group situation at his or her own pace.

Gym Bear (4-5 years)

The objective of the program is similar to Mini-Bear, where students develop critical motor skills, as well as improve their co-ordination, balance, flexibility and strength using well-designed gymnastics curriculum in our fully equipped gymnasium.

On top of this, in this independent class, they also develop essential soft skills not taught in the classroom, such as delayed gratification, instruction following, discipline and teamwork.

In this class, children will learn to function independently from their parent in a group situation.

Gym Boy / Gym Girl (5 years and above)

In these programme, we have Beginner, Intermediate 1, 2, 3 as well as Advanced 1 and 2 levels.

The program aims to strongly improve both physical and mental aspects. The physical aspects aim to develop healthy lifestyle through learning gymnastics which will enhance their muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, posture, balance, concentration, as well as body and spatial awareness. The mental aspects aim to develop their social skills such as the ability to listen to instructions, inculcate discipline, building friendship, encourage teamwork and improve self-esteem.

The skills acquired for the Beginner programme include forward and backward roll, dive roll, headstand, kick to handstand and hold, handstand to bridge, and cartwheel.

For the Intermediate and Advanced programmes, skills are built upon these basic gymnastics skills, and lead to higher level skills including handsprings, handstand variations, somersaults, and twists.

Competitive

The “by-invitation” competitive programme emphasises on excellence while enjoying the sport. The length of class will be at least 2 hours and training will be more demanding. These classes will be offered to students who show potential in gymnastics and are able to commit to the training required.

The objective of the program is to train the gymnasts to compete in National championships and invitationals (internal and external).

The activities include learning skills on the individual apparatus. For Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG), they will learn skills on floor, vault, beam and uneven bars. For Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG), they will learn skills on floor, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bars.

PhysioGym

This class is exclusively designed and catered for children with special needs.

The objective of the program is to use the gymnastics environment as a tool to increase childrens’ potential to function at higher levels in their everyday lives. The programme also aims to improve their confidence. Very often, therapists in hospital and clinics, after diagnosis, do not have the means and resources to work with children on a long-term basis. BazGym’s physiogym classes take gymnastics elements and transform them into a fun, dynamic and fulfilling class.

The programme is designed to have variety of athletic and creative skill-set for the children to perform while also having the social element of peer contact with other children.

Adult Gymnastics

Our adult classes are created for beginner adults who want to experience the thrill and exhilaration of learning gymnastics skills. They are also a great avenue to keep fit while having fun training with other like-minded adults.

The main objective of the program is to learn cool gymnastics skills which will enhance muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, posture, balance, as well as body and spatial awareness.

The activities include tumbling, learning to swing on the parallel and horizontal bars and trampoline. We also focus a lot on strength training using specific conditioning exercises (handstand and various support positions) so that students become strong enough to do these skills safely.
